I don’t speak German at all (yet!) but I think the word for “sunflower” is super cute: „Sonnenblume

Anyway, my mother was given some sunflower blooms. I was subsequently given permission to turn them into a headpiece towards the end of their lifespan. Just a short post for y’all to share it.

FUNNY HAT FRIDAYS: Leucadendron Fresh Flower Crown

One of my best friends recently became an Australian citizen at a ceremony on January 26th. With permission, I took home one of the numerous leftover bunches of native flowers from the townhall. I initially intended to make this flower crown with silver eucalyptus leaves as well, but I found the leucadendrons to be rich and full enough on their own.

FUNNY HAT FRIDAY: Daisies and Fresias Fresh Flowercrown

Earlier this year, I was privileged to perform and choreograph for my medical school’s dance crew. Not only was it a memorable performance (even more so since it was the final year for a number of my graduating seniors), I was also lucky enough to receive a beautiful bouquet of daisies, fresias and sunflowers. After enjoying their beauty for a week, it was time to give them a new lease on life as a flowercrown.
