GIFT GIVING PART 2: Seven Group Presents

Welcome to Part 2 on tips for gift giving. As a reminder, here is out mantra for the perfect present:

a) something they wouldn’t normally buy for themselves
b) looks nice/appealing and makes them say “cool!”
c) practical or usable. This includes being one-size fits all for clothes/accessories

Today, we will be talking about group presents, in which you have the bonus of having a bigger budget (>$50) in order to get something really fantastic for your friend, especially for big milestones such as weddings or 21sts 😀

GIFT GIVING PART 1: Five Gifts for Guys

Getting gifts for people is really hard. Or rather, getting good gifts for people at a good price (I’ll be honest, I am the cheapest fashion-interested person ever…) But it can be made easier! In my mind, the best present:

a) is something they wouldn’t normally buy for themselves
b) looks nice/appealing and makes them say “cool!”
c) practical or usable. This includes being one-size fits all for clothes/accessories

FUNNY HAT FRIDAY: Bougainvillea Fresh Flower Crown

My new sister-in-law (hooray!) once expressed wishes of having a fresh flower crown for her wedding. After much thought, she eventually decided to go instead for a smaller sprig of flowers for a more elegant look (a perfect choice in the end!). But I knew, her fresh flower crown dreams persisted, and there is nothing more wonderful than to create something for someone you love. During preparation for her bridal shower before the wedding, I was determined to make these dreams come true.

FUNNY HAT FRIDAY: Jacaranda Fresh Flower Crown

It’s that time of year again in Australia where all the Jacaranda trees are crowned in vivid bursts of violet flowers. It’s truly a glorious sight to drive down a road lined either side by the beautiful trees. While driving around, I kept my eyes peeled for trees with fresh blooms and low-lying branches, perfect to harvest for another Funny Hat Friday.
